Frequently Asked Questions

How do I print this information for a consultation with my herd health veterinarian or dairy consultant?
When you have the Farm Plan, a course page, or any other page from the university displayed on your web browser, use the browser's Print button to copy the page to your printer. Any answers you have selected should be indicated on the printed copy.
How can I save my answers so that I can return to the class after consulting with my herd health veterinarian or dairy consultant?
Each time you leave the class page, either to view a definition or a more information screen, to log off the Internet, or for whatever reason, your answers are saved on your computer for up to 30 days. When you return to the class, any answers you selected will be displayed for you to continue with the rest of the class. To restart the class, you may click on the Reset button at the end of the class. This will clear all answers previously selected. If the current registration information is changed before all the classes and tests are completed for a course, previous class answers will be deleted. Make sure you have completed the course before registering again for a course.
What do I do if I receive an error message when I access one of the classes?
You may be using an older web browser to access the Dairy Quality University. DQU utilizes various programming techniques to record the information you select. The older browsers are not capable of executing these programs. More current web browsers are available over the Internet at no charge for the download. We recommend at least version 3.0 of Internet Explorer or Netscape. You may click either of these links to download the most current version.
What do I do if the answers I selected are not being saved when I leave the class for definitions or more information?
Information about you and the answers you have selected are saved on your computer during the normal activity of the Dairy Quality University. This information is stored in the form of "cookies." The "cookies" do not pose any security risks to your computer. Some users may have directed their web browsers to not save "cookies" while they are using the Internet. This feature must be enabled for the university to function correctly. You may disable the saving of "cookies" after completing the university classes.
Must I have obtained a dairy consultant signature to become a Certified Quality Producer and receive graduation premiums?
Certificates of completion and most of the graduation premiums will be sent to your herd health veterinarian or dairy consultant. The signature of the consultant for completing the consultation and certifying your farm will be placed on the certificate at this time.
