How to Verify My Heifer Facilities

1. Complete the self-audit of your operation as outlined in the Raising Quality Replacement Heifers BMP Manual.
2. Review the self-audit with your management team (veterinarian, nutritionist, banker, semen services, etc.).
3. Register your results online or mail the completed Raising Quality Replacement Heifer BMP manual to the DQA Center, Box 497, Stratford, IA 50249.
4. Enroll in the DQA FIVE-STAR Dairy Quality Assurance^SM Program. This provides a third-party verification of:
   • operation's effect on environment
   • animal care provided
   • use of family and hired labor
   • dairy beef safety and quality
   • pathogen management
