  1. Professional nutritionist or equipment technician can easily respond to milk producer’s interest in the FIVE-STARSM Program by providing brochures and reviewing key points.

  2. To initiate interest, approach your best clients, those with neat facilities and a real sense of pride in being a food producer.

  3. Obtain “Premium” (Introductory) level Walk-Through form by contacting the Milk & Dairy Beef Quality Assurance Center.

  4. Review each Indicator of Quality on the Walk-Through form. (Call the friendly staff a the Milk & Dairy Beef Quality Assurance Center if you have any questions).

  5. Score and discuss each “Indicator of Quality” with the milk producer.

  6. Total the scores and review rating. (THREE, FOUR, or FIVE-STARSM status)

  7. THREE or FOUR-STARSM dairies may want to implement changes before submitting the scores to the Milk & Dairy Beef Quality Assurance Center.

  8. Submit results to the Milk & Dairy Beef Quality Assurance Center.
